The Italian restaurant where we celebrated my sister’s birthday yesterday did not put a candle on her dessert as we requested when we made the reservation. So, we wrote the sushi restaurant earlier today hoping to make up for it. The waitress brought the Birthday Girl a dessert (with a candle) and it really surprised my sister. When making her wish, she looked around the table and wished for good things for us.
The food was good, but definitely not as authentic as what my three sisters had when they worked in Japan. The sushi dinner was to thank them for working very hard in Japan which made it possible for me to dream bigger. After tomorrow, I don’t know when we’ll see them again, but we will miss them.
