We love the energy in Tirana, Albania. Autumn, my favorite season, makes it even more special. We went to Skanderbeg Square which still has a communist feel to it; had dinner at “the best Chinese restaurant in Albania” (it’s not bad, just nothing to write home about), and had drinks at the rotating Sky Bar.
The margaritas there, however, are the best I’ve had since leaving San Francisco. We told the bartender that they were as great as the ones in California. He was quite happy to hear that. The cocktail waiter asked, “L.A.?” Kenric replied, “San Francisco”.
“Oh, San Francisco! Thank you again. Bye-bye.”
We’ve once again succeeded in avoiding using “America” or “U.S.”.
