When we walked along the famous Walls of Dubrovnik in October 2017, the weather was perfect. Today, not so much. We spent one hour and 45 minutes up there and saw no more than ten other tourists, so we gladly took the rain. The views were amazing albeit very different from last time.
Many restaurants have shut down for the season including the popular one that plays the Game of Thrones theme song live. Can you imagine the staff’s agony having to listen to that nonstop? Many souvenir shops have also closed for the season, and there aren’t any Game of Thrones fans re-enacting Cersei’s Walk of Atonement shouting “Shame! Shame! Shame!”
Dubrovnik is a little out of character for us, so I looked for the theme song on YouTube and played it in our room. The photos taken today do not do justice to Dubrovnik and the Adriatic Coast’s beauty. That’s why I am including two photos taken in 2017. You’ll be able to tell which two they are.

So peaceful and quiet; no tourists and no enemies attacking.
