Often, when we told people we were coming to Tirana, Albania, their first question was, “Where?” and then, “Why?” It’s hard to describe, but we hope this photo and video give you a glimpse of what we like about this city – the disintegrating roof of our neighbor/landlord, the traffic policeman’s whistle, the dog barking and the car honking make the city come alive for us. The only other city that “feels” like this is Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, but my love-hate relationship with my birth city makes living there quite impossible even though it’s Kenric’s favorite big city.
We may tire of Tirana soon, but for now, it feels like a 100-degree paradise for us.
