On this day (April 5th) in 1992 began the siege of Sarajevo. The civil war in Bosnia and Herzegovina would drag on until 1995. Below are the statistics published by the Sarajevo Times today regarding the siege.
I cannot find the words to describe our love for Sarajevo, the city with so much pain, love, forgiveness, and resilience. I hope these photos taken during our three visits in 2017, 2018 and 2019 give you an idea. We love you Sarajevo. Peace be upon you and every war-stricken part of the world.
