The first night he was at the hospital, two nights ago, he got a deep wash, a blow dry and a restful night of sleep. He must have been an angel because the vets let him sleep outside of the cage by himself last night. And what happens when you leave a seven-month-old puppy with rolls and rolls of paper towels? Yesterday, he also tested positive for Ehrlichiosis, a tick-borne disease. He’s on antibiotics. His injured leg is not amputated yet because the vets want to see if it can be salvaged. In the video, you can see that he’s actually putting some weight on that leg.
I named him Tiga because I thought he might be left with three legs. Now that he may keep all four legs, I have renamed him Patrick because “Empat” is four in Malay. He goes by Pat and he’s naughty but cutie!
A seven-month-old puppy should not be trusted with rolls of paper towels even if he has only three good legs. He looks guilty.
