We are staying at Agriturismo Sant’Ulivieri which is an agricultural farm that offers room and board to tourists. It’s a mini cousins reunion with Kenric’s cousin, the cousin’s wife and their toddler. They arrived after dinner time which was 8:00 pm as suggested by the host. Dinner was delicious and the red wine that her husband made was really good too. After dinner we had a great evening catching up with the cousins. They’re really impressed by the Agriturismo and not just because this is their idea.
Our agriturismo package includes half board which means two meals (no lunch). So goodnight because breakfast is between 8:00 and 9:00 am.

I don’t like tomato-based sauce, but this is really good.
Kenric hates peas, but he forced himself to eat a few just to be polite. They were delicious to me.
Uh-oh….The host’s husband didn’t get the memo about not letting Kenric pour his own wine!

San Gimignano
We spent a few hours today in San Gimignano, a medieval hilltop town, about twenty minutes away. It is now my third most beautiful medieval town after Dubrovnik, Croatia and Kotor, Montenegro.
At dinner….
DW: What’s everyone’s favorite part of the day?
BW: Lunch. (The pizzas were good especially the Quattro Formaggio/Four Cheese pizza, but I think he meant the entire lunch experience.)
Kenric: The tunnel. (We stumbled upon a tunnel that says “Punto Panoramico”. Of course we had to check out the “Panoramic View” of Tuscany.)

DW: The changing light throughout the day on the hills. (Agreed, especially during sunset.)
Little J: The beach! (Apparently, she’s still thinking about the beach they visited a few days ago while in Barcelona. Gotta try harder to impress the two-and-a-half-year-old tomorrow.)

Ernesto and Romeo
Let me introduce you to our host’s cute dog and cat, Ernesto and Romeo. Ernesto is a very friendly dog, and I imagine Romeo to be an alpha cat, so in my heart, he’s Alfa Romeo.
