Hello from the Adriatic Sea.
Drifting Further Away From Sanity
We are in Split, Croatia. On the 122nd day of this trip, we finally got to eat a semi-homemade meal. Bought some tortellini, mushrooms, ground meat and pasta sauce from a mini-mart. Kenric reminded me not to get Barilla brand sauce because they hate gay people. We went to two different mini-marts but neither had hot pepper flakes. I have to start carrying them in my bag like Hillary Clinton does hot sauce.
My cooking skills are so rusty I felt like an impasta. Even though the food was rather bland, and this is not my people’s food, it was still much more satisfying than most of the restaurant meals we’ve had. I asked Kenric, Since we’re in Split, are all the pea soups here by default Split Pea Soup. Day 122
Avoid Peak Tourist Season
Split has its fair share of cruise ships. I’m glad we were not here during peak tourist season.
Sunset with Bow Tie Cat
Spent part of the evening with this kitty that has a bow tie on his head!
Scary Stairs in the Bell Tower
We climbed some scary stairs up the bell tower of the Cathedral of Saint Domnius in #Split, #Croatia. On our way up, we saw a few people that abandoned the climb. My legs went weak too every time I looked down.
The view from the top was breathtaking, but that doesn’t explain why a girl was hyperventilating. She was freaked out, and her friend was yelling encouragements at her. I took a picture of her taking a selfie with one hand on the phone, and the other hanging on for dear life! Glad she managed to take a selfie to prove her bravery. I can’t imagine how loud she was screaming on her way down!
