One of the main attractions in Kosice, Slovakia is St. Elisabeth’s Cathedral which was first built in the 14th century. With a capacity of 5,000, it’s the largest cathedral in the country. The first time we were there, I didn’t take any pictures because it was in the middle of a mass.
On our second attempt, a big group of kids on a field trip beat us by just a few steps. I assured Kenric it would be fine to visit along with them because they are potty trained, but he didn’t know if that actually made the children more tolerable, or less.
When we finally went in again, it was quieter with about twenty people praying. We usually put our small donation into the general donation box, but since the prayer candles were electric and coin operated (as in, were not really using up one of their candles), we lit an electric one for twenty minutes.
