Look who’s on her second plate of wet food! Wet food because Waxy is completely toothless now. The vet said she’s a crazy cat, and that she did not like her antibiotics shot at all. I was really surprised and happy to hear that. She was indeed feisty when the vet gave her today’s shot. It’s going to be interesting when we give her the shot tomorrow.
She purred the entire time she was gorging her food in the bathroom. She was kneading the bare floor, the towel, my shoes, and my forearm. Seeming really content during those minutes she even meowed a few times. I left her in the bathroom so I could eat my dinner. When I checked on her about 30 minutes later, she was on the towel licking herself. She was even more alert after having some food. I tried to take a photo, and she reached up for the camera. Now, that’s a kitty!
Acting Like a Cat Again
After scratching her for a few minutes near the door, I opened it. She did not want to go out. It was quite cold. She eventually went out to nibble on the food I left outside for other cats, but came back inside rather quickly. Kenric rolled the ball we got for her. She actually took a few steps after the ball. Then, Kenric let the ball roll under the cabinet. Tsk! Tsk! When he got a hanger to try and sweep it out, Waxy went for the hanger instead. The girl is back! Well, I actually don’t know how she was before she got sick. We met her exactly one week ago.
After a few more in-and-outs, she ran up the stairs to her usual spot up the hill. Her friends will not believe her story.
Kenric said she looks like a different cat. That’s what I told the vet too. She replied, “Yeah, medicine and food. That’s all she needs.” Sounds simple in theory.
