We had a busy two weeks in San Jose while staying at Kenric’s parents’ house. We finally emptied the storage unit. We got to admire one of our favorite paintings for a few days before wrapping it up and placing it behind the boxes we’re leaving at Kenric’s parents’ house.
We really regret renting a storage unit for the past two years. Glad it’s done and over with!
For a few days, we propped the painting on the drawers of a dresser. Certainly not what the painter had in mind.
We had some delicious Californian wine from Napa and Sonoma. Visited our friend in his new home. Met up with some old friends and coworkers. We are really sorry we couldn’t meet up with everyone.
Broke the news last night to Kenric’s parents that we won’t be back for Christmas this year. Kenric is out of the will now ???
Loaded the car this morning, hugged Kenric’s parents Goodbye, visited our beautiful Oscar; more hugs even though he refused to look at me. ? Maybe he’s still mad at us, but we are so thankful he is in such a cat-loving home.
We didn’t have time to do everything we wanted in the Bay Area these past two weeks, but we did enough. I love you, California. You’re the greatest state of all.
We bought Grandpa’s well-maintained 12-year-old car for $2,000 and will be road tripping for the next three months. Until next time, everyone! May the Fourth be with us and also with you.
