People get to Moraine Lake in Banff National Park as early as 4:30 am for sunrise. The parking lot fills up by around 6:30 am. We went there after 7:00 pm and were lucky enough to find parking. The climb to view the lake from above was challenging especially with my pinched nerve, but it was worth it.
It was a rainy and gloomy day so I couldn’t capture the sunset glow on the mountains or the reflection in the water. If you do an image search for “Moraine Lake” on the internet, you’ll understand why it is one of the most popular lakes in the world.
