The wildlife of the contiguous United States, specifically that of Montana, has been exceptionally generous with the farewell today.
Deer, horses, squirrels, bighorn sheep, mountain goats, elk, chipmunks, and a bear! Although I didn’t capture all of them on camera, I had quite a few lucky shots. There was even a rainbow.
See if you can find the bear in the video. He’s quite furry. If you know why the bighorn sheep are licking the ground/the road (in the video), let us know. Kenric thinks they are looking for salt.
It’s so weird to see them licking the road. Also, their fur looks like a mess because they’re shedding as summer approaches.
I wish I had a better angle, but this is still very exciting. The white flowers are called Beargrass. So beautiful.
