I’d say Kenric had a good birthday even though we spent most of the day packing and cleaning. Friends from around the world sent him birthday wishes and he received birthday cards from his parents, sister, aunt, and Grandma. The birthday money was greatly appreciated too.
During lunch, I wished him “Happy Birthday” by writing “HBK” with Sriracha hot sauce on my bowl of porridge. He was not impressed. We had charcuterie as appetizer, and the Coq au vin I made a few days ago for dinner. He got to open two bottles of the delicious wines we got when we were in Napa and Sonoma earlier this week. His Mom made him a strawberry birthday cake as he requested.
