We were seated by a river again tonight. Let’s hope I don’t wake up with mosquito bites swelling up all over like I did in Vientiane.
Hashtag: kids gotta pay but mosquitoes eat for free.
Just a few minutes downstream, the Nam Khan River will meet up with the Mekong River.
Nap Time
For how long should one wait before waking the foot massage therapist the first time she falls asleep? The second time? The twelfth time? No worries, she wakes herself up whenever she falls over. I think my massage luck has run out.
Can’t Go Outside
At 8:00 pm, the temperature was still 90° Fahrenheit (32° Celsius). It was so hot this afternoon (forecast was 99°F/37°C) that I almost puked. Even Kenric, who has been enjoying the hot weather, agrees that today was brutal. I don’t intend to go outside tomorrow for more than 15 minutes at a time, but if I do and I die, here’s something to remember me by. #SoDramatic #BecauseImDying

More Pictures
Here are more pictures taken around this beautiful UNESCO Heritage Center over the last ten days. We hope to return someday to this ancient royal capital of Laos and stay longer.
