I fed the cats wet food this morning. They loved it, and Waxy got extra. I still had to crinkle the dry food bag to attract them. That sound of a thick plastic bag crinkling is how the homeless cats we’ve encountered know there is food.
Play Time?
Yesterday, I made a toy with the plastic ring from the water bottle, and tied it to reinforced thread. None of them know how to play. I dangled it in front of Waxy again; no reaction at all. Maybe I hypnotized her. I gave up and massaged her. Some of her dry scabs were falling off.
Then, I remembered I bought baby wipes yesterday so that I could wipe off as much of the sticky stuff near her butt as possible. When I went back out with the bag of baby wipes, and lifted the plastic flap, she came running thinking it was food. Bwahaha! She did not like being wiped down at all. In the future, when she hears the plastic bag crinkling sound, she may carefully consider if it’s a trick or treat.
Halloween
We haven’t seen any signs of Halloween here in Kotor, Montenegro. Then again, we stayed in because of our colds. Happy Halloween!
P.S. Waxy came for dinner around 8:00 pm last night. All the other cats came around 8:00 pm tonight, but it’s past 10:00 pm now, and Waxy is still not here. I made dinner. #DiaryOfACatLady
