Good morning from Gjirokaster, Albania, a well-preserved Ottoman town. It was difficult to get to our guesthouse up on the hill, but these views of the UNESCO World Heritage old town and the Castle of Gjirokaster from our room are worth it. I love this town so very much.

Castle of Gjirokaster. It’s great to hang out in the nicely restored Old Bazaar during the day, but I almost died walking back up the hill to the guesthouse.
These eight days Kenric and I spent in Gjirokaster are very special to us. It will take some time for me to put into words the beauty of this place, its people and their relationships. I’m sad we have to leave. Mirupafshim, Gjirokaster.
