On the way to #SweetGobi. Beautiful views, bumpy roads!
I love this photo of my wonderful schoolmates who invited us to join them on this epic vacation. Thanks again, you two! Kenric and I had a lot of fun!
Our wonderful driver, “Uncle”. The van is a Russian-made UAZ Buhanka. Uncle has mad skills handling this beast.
Our first two nights were spent at Sweet Gobi Geolodge. Most of these photos, including those of the eco toilet and the salon were taken around the Sweet Gobi ger camp (yurt camp). Even though we were only able to clean ourselves with steaming hot towels for two days, a hair wash was surprisingly refreshing.
Not photographed is the wood stove. It was still super freaking cold at night. Walking all the way to the toilet in the middle of the night was NOT FUN AT ALL.
Eco toilet. It’s much better and cleaner than we expected. Just scoop some saw dust from the bucket and dump it down the deep hole before leaving. Wipe your hands with the wet wipes, of course.
We were so surprised to find out there was a salon ger! What a nice surprise.
Got our hair washed in the salon ger behind us!
More about the awesome people, breathtaking beauty of Mongolia, and this epic adventure some other time.
Soyombo Super Premium Mongolian Vodka. Super smooth. This bottle is actually a gift from our guides and Uncle because they knew how much some of us loved it.
Can you see the MilkyWay?
Sweet Gobi Ger Camp
Uncle, Urnaa and Yuka. They made this such a wonderful trip. So thankful we got to see beautiful Mongolia with them. It really felt like we were on a road trip with friends.
