After getting a pinched nerve from sleeping on an overnight train ride recently, I’m so glad we decided to fly from Ho Chi Minh City to Hoi An. With my fussy stomach, I don’t know how I would have survived the 17-hour train ride (7:00 pm to 12:00 pm).
Kenric got a pleasant surprise on Vietnam Airlines – comfortable legroom even in Economy Class. Remember that, all you tall people. The view as we were getting into the Da Nang Airport was beautiful. The 45-minute ride from the airport to Hoi An was smooth.
We’re lucky to have found a room that fits our low-end budget at the Hai Yen Hotel! Dinner was good. The restaurant had a Christmas tree made of bamboo bird cages. We hope to check out the beautiful ancient town of Hoi An tomorrow.
