I woke up around 8:00 am, and saw through the window that a few kitties were hanging out at the top of the stairs near our front door. I went out to feed them, and the neighbor was already done with her washing.
Kenric and I stayed in today because we both have a cold, but I knew I wanted to go back to the area where the big trash bins are, right outside the Kotor city gate. I saw a kitty eating paper napkins in one of the trash bins yesterday. He and his friend ate the food we gave them very quickly.
Turn Back the Clock
When we looked out the window later in the day, it was really dark. It was only 5:17 pm. Turns out, Daylight Saving Time for Montenegro ended at 3:00 this morning. For the U.S., it’s this coming Sunday (November 5th, 2017) at 2:00 am. I wonder if the neighbor forgot to “fall back” her clock by an hour, and wasted the opportunity for an extra hour of sleep.
We briefly went out, but didn’t see any kitties around. We left some food at the same spot near the trash bin outside the city gate. I hope that same kitty finds the food. We took a few pictures, and came back. Time to figure out our own dinner.
Ramen from Korea
I’ve been carrying a packet of Shin Ramyun (Black) and a packet of Indomie Goreng through many countries. A Korean restaurant back in Dubrovnik was selling Shin Ramyun instant noodles for 90 Croatian kuna (USD $13.91). Ridiculous! It’s maybe USD $1.50 in San Francisco Chinatown. I asked the server if it was from a packet. He said, “Yes, we bought it from Korea.” So, I opted for the fried noodles for 80 kuna. Dough! The “fried noodles” was simply a $12.37-bowl of dry instant noodles. Urgh!!! Anyway, I didn’t have the heart to eat either one of my treasured ramen packets tonight, so I had some powdered mushroom soup. I may end up carrying them all the way back to California.
After dinner, I looked out and saw one kitty. I opened the door, and three ran towards me.
