We left some food near the trash bin for the cats, took a few pictures, and came back. After dinner I opened the door and three cats ran towards me.

Cats of the World
Cats of the World started out as just cats (particularly abandoned cats, homeless cats, street cats, stray cats, alley cats, community cats, wild cats, and feral cats), but this section soon evolved to include other animals we encounter in our travels, including dogs, and even elephants. We pay particular attention to those animals in need of care and compassion.
There will never ever be enough homes for cats and dogs. Strays will continue to be culled as they have been in Australia, Malaysia, and many other countries. It’s the same vicious cycle – population explosion, mass poisoning/shooting, ignore, repeat. Kenric and I support Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) programs for the animals but also for the feeders/rescuers. It’s a huge financial, emotional and time burden on the people that care for stray and abandoned animals. TNR may seem strange, almost abusive to the animals, but it helps them and their feeders!

A Sucker for Smarty Cat
The cat jumped out of his window to rub against our legs. Suddenly, he darted across the street and of course, it was a pet store! He totally earned his meal.
I Will Miss This Place Very Much.
Children playing football or making sand castles with sand at the construction site; old ladies fetching water for the plants along the street, or just chatting the evening away.
The Cats of General Gurko Street
He opened containers of wet food, and gave each cat a spoonful. He tore off pieces of sausage cat treats, and hand fed each of the eight cats.
George Constanța and the Roman Mosaic
The cat got up, and started walking towards where I was. Then, he leaped and jumped, and I realized he was serious. I ran down the stairs to meet him, and suddenly, “Meeeeeoooooowwwwww!”
