Cats of the World
Cats of the World started out as just cats (particularly abandoned cats, homeless cats, street cats, stray cats, alley cats, community cats, wild cats, and feral cats), but this section soon evolved to include other animals we encounter in our travels, including dogs, and even elephants. We pay particular attention to those animals in need of care and compassion.
There will never ever be enough homes for cats and dogs. Strays will continue to be culled as they have been in Australia, Malaysia, and many other countries. It’s the same vicious cycle – population explosion, mass poisoning/shooting, ignore, repeat. Kenric and I support Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) programs for the animals but also for the feeders/rescuers. It’s a huge financial, emotional and time burden on the people that care for stray and abandoned animals. TNR may seem strange, almost abusive to the animals, but it helps them and their feeders!
