Give it a Woman’s Approval
We are in Bucharest, Romania. Kenric found a Mediterranean/Israeli/Egyptian restaurant called Aubergine for dinner. We were seated at an outdoor table right behind the menu display stand. The food was really delicious, so when four men were debating whether to eat at the restaurant, I smiled and nodded when one of them looked at me. Another asked, “Good?” I nodded again. I looked up a couple of seconds later, they were all gone.
Then, I remembered; one of the best ways to discourage men from doing something is to give it a woman’s approval. Oops! It’s really their loss. Kenric wouldn’t even look up from his Moroccan Chicken for a photo. My seafood in spicy broth was also really good.
Good Morning
It’s Six Twenty Nine. I’m going back to sleep now.
Another Day, Another Restaurant
The restaurant across the alley is called “#US Pop Food Art” (closed 2018), and it has a sign saying “Welcome to #US”. Oh the irony. With murals of Batman and Superman, I’d say this restaurant is more welcoming to most people than the real US.
I saw a man in his 60s walking by with his wife who’s about the same age. His T-shirt says, “My girlfriend is out of town”. Maybe that’s why he’s hanging out with the Mrs. Kenric asked, “How do you know that’s his wife?” “They both look like they couldn’t stand each other.”
