The Black Sheep of Hallstatt
In English, the hotel name is “The White Lamb”. The tag line is “Make yourself at home”. Laughable, if it wasn’t so insulting to paying customers. More like “The Holl Family gives your family Holl.” Or, “The White Lamb is the black sheep of Hallstatt.”
Gautrachtenfest
Beautiful horses, traditional Bavarian marching bands, creative village specialties displayed on wagon floats (villagers mending a fish net, chopping wood, or threshing grain, or a model of the village church), and children and adults dressed in their village tracht.
