One of the main attractions in Kosice, Slovakia is St. Elisabeth Cathedral. With a capacity of 5,000, it’s the largest cathedral in the country.

Remember Czechoslovakia?
Czechoslovakia was formed after WWI (1918) when the Austro-Hungarian Empire collapsed. It’s a marriage of the “Czech Lands” and “Slovakia”.
The Traveling Pantry
Since we fly to California in two weeks, we can consume our pantry items. I may even have the coffee packet I’ve been carrying around for six months.
It’s Cold in Ljubljana!
We had a few gluhwein mainly to warm our hands. I was wearing a turtleneck, two crewnecks, one jacket, a long coat, a scarf, a knit hat and I was freezing.

We walked for over an hour (including photo-taking time). I kept thinking I would fall because the trail was only dimly lit, and many parts were slippery.
A River Runs Through It
It had been described it as the Grand Canyon but inside a cave. Upon seeing the big river that gushes through the dark cave I teared up uncontrollably.
A Castle in the Snow
We visited Bled Castle which had great views especially after it snowed. A couple was making the cutest snowman I’ve seen. You may say it’s a snowwoman.
