Thieving Monkeys and Sea Turtles at Uluwatu
Thieving monkeys are a big problem at Uluwatu. Our guide said if they snatched something of yours, you can sometimes get it back by bartering with food.
Tanah Lot, Land in the Sea
During low tide people can walk to the Tanah Lot. At high tide the temple appears as though it is floating in the ocean. I hope no one gets stranded.

Walking Our Favorite Trail in Ubud, Bali
The “Jalan Subak Sok Wayah Trail” is about 3.3 kilometers (2 miles) one way, but our entire walk was about 8 kilometers (about 5 miles).
Jalan Subak Sok Wayah
We prefer Jalan Subak Sok Wayah over the Campuhan Ridge Walk because it’s a lot less touristy. It’s beautiful and the locals are really nice and friendly.
Balinese New Year

On Nyepi, monsters must believe that the village is abandoned so they choose to leave. That is why everyone remains silent and indoors with the lights off.
Visitors at the Hotel
Monkeys, frogs, bats, butterflies, and other visitors. Oh….baby, baby, it’s a wild world! Regardless, we still like this hotel a lot.

We don’t see what’s special about kopi luwak. Maybe we don’t know how to appreciate it, but people who a pay high price for civit coffee say it’s the shit!
