I really don’t know what I was thinking when I signed us up for this 3 Days/2 Nights Kinabatangan River Cruise which includes one morning and one nighttime jungle walk. Anyway, on the nighttime walk we saw a few cool things, and the Australian father-mother-younger daughter trio was very fun. The older daughter was a teenager who couldn’t wait to go back to her room after dinner to sulk. She would have been miserable for the entire 90 minutes.
Back at the room, there was a centipede waiting for us. Kenric scooped him up with a brochure and set him outside. Then, Kenric discovered his two leech friends. After that whole saga, and when I was finally showered and sitting in bed, the centipede came back inside from under the door. We trapped it with a cup because had we just thrown it outside and it would probably just come back within half an hour. Kenric will set it free tomorrow when we leave.
Guess what I just saw nosing around in the same part of the room? Another centipede! There better not be another one because there are only two cups in the room! I swear, I grew up poor and these creepy crawlies were a common sight in the village, but they never stop freaking me out!
