Yesterday, we met up with two of my schoolmates. I’ve known K.S. Chaw since we were seven, and S.J. Goh since I was thirteen. Chaw selected the restaurant. The food was really delicious, but the company was far better. After dinner, they brought us to one of their favorite spots that serves “Snow Beer” i.e. extremely cold beer served in heavily frosted mugs. It’s perfect for the weather here. At 4:00 pm, the temperature was 33 degrees Celsius (91 degrees Fahrenheit) with a 58 percent humidity.
Among many other things, we laughed at that time Mr. Choo, our Science teacher, yelled at the entire class because we couldn’t stop giggling during the lesson on the reproductive system, and the time he was mad because someone broke a thermometer during an experiment, and a few of us who didn’t know any better (myself included) rushed to pick up the “liquid silver”. Poor guy, trying to get a class of 48 teenage girls to behave AND pay attention.
Throughout my life, I have been blessed with good classmates – from primary school (aged 7 to 12) through secondary school (aged 13 to 17). They really made my difficult home life a little more tolerable. I am glad Facebook has allowed so many of us to stay in touch. Thank you, TCS girls. Each of you continue to make my life more meaningful.
