There was a food and art festival in Gjirokaster’s Old Bazaar. I only managed to take a few good photos because we were having dinner at a restaurant, seated on the sidewalk. Have I told you I really love Gjirokaster? The people here are so nice.
The Albanian flag is such a badass flag.

A few more sights and sounds around Gjirokaster’s Old Bazaar on the second and final day of the food and art festival. It was great to see the locals, young and old, enjoying themselves.

It was a very lively night.
There were many before-and-after photos on display of the Old Bazaar’s restoration. The logo on the photos say “Albanian-American Development Foundation”. The restoration was nicely done but there are still many vacant and rundown shops and properties in the Old Town.
