Kenric and I spent the day hanging out with my schoolmate, Jessy. We stuffed ourselves silly with authentic dim sum in Monterey Park, soaked up art and history at The Getty Center in LA, and ended the day with drinks and appetizers at TGIF in Victoria Gardens. Thanks for the wonderful company and delicious dim sum, Jessy! I think Grandma will enjoy the leftovers tomorrow. Sorry we were late picking you up. Haters gonna hate; Malaysians gonna late!
The top four of the many dim sum dishes we had. Glutinous rice, cheong fun (rice noodle roll), tau fu fah (silky bean curd in ginger syrup) and chicken feet. No one shared my chicken feet, and Jessy told us to get our own tau fu fah because that’s the one thing she won’t share. It was very good tau fu fah.
NBC Seafood Restaurant in Monterey Park. The place is huge and I’d say 99% of the diners were Chinese. Delicious authentic dim sum.
